Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang - Baci Ceremony
Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel in town. Free for your own exploration before joining the Baci Ceremony, and sharing the dinner with the host family to experience Laos culture
On arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, you will be met and transferred to check in the hotel.
Situated in the centre of northern Laos, Luang Prabang is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its outstanding cultural, historic and architectural values and its harmonious relationship between the natural and built environment.
You are free to stroll around the city for your own first impression of this ancient city.
Late afternoon, join a private Baci ceremony at a local family. The Baci ceremony as a traditional ritual of the Lao people expresses the spirituality of the country and is a highly memorable experience and a deep insight into Lao culture for the participants.
Dinner will be served after that for you to share with the host family. This is the best chance for you to have first experience of local life and culture.

Day 2: Morning Alms Giving - Pha Tad Ke Garden - City Luang Prabang
Wake up early to join the daily morning alms giving and visit the temporary morning market.
In the morning, stroll around the first and only botanical garden in Laos, Pha Tad Ke Garden. Learn about the bio-system in Laos.
In the afternoon, explore the city of Luang Prabang including Wat Xiengthong, Royal Palace Museum, and Wat Prabath. Stroll around the colorful night market before coming back to your hotel
Wake up as the sun rises, we will prepare to join the most sacred tradition of Laos, the daily morning alms giving, which dates to the 14th century. More than 200 Buddhist monks depart from various temple to gather their daily meal from the faithful residents sitting quietly on the streets.
From there, we will visit the temporary morning market near the former Royal Palace. Just set on the ground, the local people come here to barter their day’s catch from rice, to vegetable, to fish, or chicken. This is the best chance to experience the flavor of local life
After breakfast, transfer to the meeting point in town.
The Pha Tad Ke boat departs Ban Wat That at 9:00 (please be at the pier at 8:45). Enjoy a 15-minute leisurely boat trip down the Mekong River. Upon arrival at Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden reception you will be given a short presentation about the gardens. After that walk through the Ginger Garden and the Ethno-botanic Garden, which is the centrepiece of the garden. Follow the path through the Limestone Walk and take in the amazing mountainous Mekong landscape. Learn how to make a bamboo stick animal at the site of the hunting lodge of the former royal family. Then continue your tour of Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden walking through the Arboretum, Palm Garden and Bamboo Garden to our viewpoint that overlooks the rice fields. Stop by the Mist House where you will learn more about the importance of biodiversity conservation. Finish your excursion with an optional orchid talk at Pha Tad Ke Nursery.
All of the gardens will have introductory panels and labels. You can always ask our expert staff should you have any questions or require more information.
Enjoy a delicious Lao set lunch at the Pha Tad Ke café before taking the boat back to Luang Prabang.
On arrival back in the city, your city tour begins with a visit to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. After that, you will visit Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts.
If time permits, we will take a short walk around the small streets of city center.
From there, we will transfer to visit Wat Prabath to admire the sunset; this is the really peaceful place to catch the last beauty of the day. The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely collection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Day 3: Nature Exploration with Bike
Join the transfer by car and boat to Hoi Khua waterfalls, where we will have the full day exploration of the surrounding area. The activities include zipline flying over the waterfalls and the jungle, trekking to the top of the waterfalls, or just relax to enjoy a cup of coffee watching the green nature surrounding. Transfer back to your hotel late afternoon
Approx. 1 hours transfer, 3 hours trekking, 1 hour ziplining
After breakfast, we will join the transfer to the boat pier, where we will take the ferry crossing the Mekong river to the other sides of the Mekong, which is totally different from the ancient side of Luang Prabang.
Another transfer of 15-20 minutes will bring us to the Green Jungle Park.
After a short introduction and welcome speech, we start climbing to the top of the waterfall with a local guide for a hiking loop of around 2h30.
Once on the top enjoy a nice mountain view and discover the natural pool from the waterfall water spring and also some centenaries trees. Learn about the jungle vegetation, the tales of Hoi Khua waterfall and the local life style. Continue by the governor’s trees plantations project with some wild field, enjoy the natural taste of some veggies found along the way and then walk back down to the coffee shop where we will have lunch.
In the afternoon, we will join the zipline flying above the valley with 13 stations and 900m of zipline. This will take about 1 hour.
You are then free to walk around the park, visit the flower garden, or just relax and enjoy the cup of coffee admiring the green nature.
Transfer back your hotel late afternoon.

Day 4: Morning Cooking Class - Refresh at Kuang Si Waterfalls
Join the private cooking class in the morning, learn some of the special receipt for your own cooking when back home. In the afternoon, refresh at Kuang Si waterfalls, strolling around to explore the surrounding area, or take a dip into some natural pools. End your day with the visit to Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, enjoy a cold drink at Silk Road Café overlooking the Mekong River during sunset.
Today, you will take part in the cooking class at Mai Too Restaurant.
We start with a visit to the major food market; explain what the foods are and what they are used for.
We then transfer back to Mai Too Restaurant to cook and eat.
The lunch should be finished at around 2:30.
In the afternoon, we transfer directly to the beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls which is the biggest in the Luang Prabang area with three tiers leading to a 50-metre drop into spectacular azure pools before flowing downstream. The pools also make great swimming holes and are very popular with both tourists and locals
We will also take a short visit to the Bear Rescue Center, which houses a couple of dozen animals rescued from the hands of poachers and traffickers.
On the way back to Luang Prabang, we will take a short visit to the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, set serenely close to the Mekong, this beautiful, traditionally styled workshop, where weavers, spinners and batik makers produce top-quality fabrics, offers free tours every half-hour. This is also one of the best spots to admire the sunset in Luang Prabang
Transfer back to your hotel late afternoon. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 5: Cruise the Mekong to Pak Ou Caves - Nam Ou Riverside Resort
After breakfast, join the cruise along the mighty Mekong to visit the mysterious Pak Ou caves. Visit some local villages along the way if you wish.
In the afternoon, take the boat further to Nam Ou Riverside Resort, where we will spend the night
Breakfast at the hotel, we embark on the leisurely cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, a 16th century cave monastery filled with thousands of Buddha images, which locates 25 Kilometers North of Luang Prabang in the limestone cliffs overlooking the Mekong river. En route, you will stop at Ban Muang Keo, a well-known village for its traditional Lao rice whisky distilling.
After visiting the caves, we will take the cruise further onto Nam Ou river to the beautiful Nam Ou Riverside Resort, which nests along the lazy Nam Ou river.
Free for the rest of the day for your own exploration of the local nearby villages, or just relax by the inviting pool of the resort.
