Laos Cuisine is distinct from the cuisine of other countries in the region. In general, most of Lao dishes are quite spicy and tasty. The most famous Lao dish is larb, a spicy mixture of marinated meat or fish that is sometimes raw (prepared like ceviche) with a variable combination of herbs, greens, and spices. In general, we recommend our guests to join the morning cooking class, which start with the visit to the local market, where our guide will help you collect and explain the use of every ingredient. However, if you do not have time, the evening cooking class will also give you some ideas of what Lao people eat everyday.
